(just before i start this two day long rant, i need to mention that i have nothing wrong with the animators and everytime i'll trash talk their works, i'm refering to the poor moderation of this Chicken Little project, ok bye.)
Hey, anyone remembers Chicken Little? that shitty 5/10 adaptation of the "Henny Penny" tale from Disney. yeah, that sadistic nightmare or a movie...
Actual theatrical poster btw, someone's parent were dragged into the cinemas in 2005 to see Chicken Little and this was their VERY first impression...
Anyway, around 2023/24, some weird guy had a "dream", and it was to remake Disney's lowest point for it's then-20th anniversary (yay...)
It was called Chicken Little... (wait for it) Re-Hatched! (really just a "haha get it" moment)
(yes, that is exactly what you think it is) If you couldn't tell by it's weird pizza thumbnail, it's a MAP. which as far as i know, is a project where fans of [insert popular film/media] join together to reanimate it to celebrate their joys from these... things. Disney's Chicken Little is one of them and.... just look at this cover... oh god, just look at it:
this images hugely reeks of terminally online autism DeviantArt, i'm gonna be honest (also, yes i'm allowed to say this) Quite literally all the characters here aside from Chicken Little aren't even in the movie, and that's not mentioning that they aren't from the same franchise. but anyways..their twitter account was suspended because of the dumbass getting caught in numerous drama they could've easily avoided (says me).
So, i did many scenes for this project and they were..... meddling i'd say.
they aren't the worst things ever but they are exactly the opposite of nice (one of the scenes has the similar animation as those Spümco/John K. works post-Flash work (2003 - 2020).
I made the very first one (of Buck C(l)uck being disappointed in Chicken Little all the way back in Summer of 2024, so I was very new to figuring out my artstyle (and if you couldn't tell, the background is traced over, and so are some of the characters).
I forgot when i made the second one but i remember it was rushed out to fill the scene logs (given we had a deadline of a few weeks before the movie's 20th so that the editing/post-production crew stitched all the scenes together.
and of course, the very last part (3rd pic) was done in a few days to fill up the logs, yay...
anyway, i think this was one retarded slop chowder that ended up burning these type of projects' reputation to a crisp! and no, i'm not just saying that in an alumni way, almost no one was excited for this shit.
yes, the quality control was really something they should've double-check, which is funny because i remember the "rules" were to put some ""effort"" in our scene/s.

There are a lot of WAY better MAPs available to be honest, so this is just sad to see all this effort wasted on Chicken goddamn Little.
I would agree with that post but atleast The Room is funny and has Tommy Wiseau.
Slightly unrelated but if anyone here is looking for a GOOD MAP, i recommend The Mama Luigi Project. based on the Mario World episode of the same name and also this Kirby reanimation based on the "Cartoon Buffoon" episode of the 4Kids show. There's also a MAP based on the Spongebob episode "Shanghaied" called "Shanghaied Re-Wished" (not out yet as i'm writing this) that also has this animation with one of the scenes animated by Ess (Essnstuffs), i really dig his artstyle and his animations are no exception.
